    Sponsor Event: Building Healthier Communities & Shooting Hoops

    The Asheville Buncombe Regional Sports Commission is joining the YMCA of Western North Carolina to build Healthier Communities. The 2012 SoCon Basketball Championships will be held March 2-5, 2012 and will be hosted at the newly renovated U.S. Cellular Center and the new Kimmel Arena at UNC Asheville. 

    Featuring the local favorite-Sons of Ralph, this party will include a Sports Memorabilia Auction to benefit the Y’s annual Healthier Communities Campaign.  The auction will continue throughout the games over the course of the weekend.  “The Conference is delighted to return to Asheville and wanted to give back to the community.  The YMCA has a significant impact on youth in our community and was a natural choice,” said Ben Van Camp, Executive Director.  The event will be held in the Banquet Hall at the U.S. Cellular Center in downtown Asheville.

    Get your tickets at the door. Suggested Donations of $20.
